Vince had been fully expecting this to happen, though the backup was unexpected. He would just have to take a chance on this one.
Swiftly he withdrew his switchblade from his pocket and tossed it aside before putting both hands behind his head. With a dead serious tone and expression he looked at the detective, completely ignoring the other officer who had just arrived.
"I'll come quietly, I don't want anyone gettin hurt tonight."

"Percy...take him to the jail please...after we have a talk." Oliver said putting the handcuffs on the man. "My room is 247, second floor."

"Will do, Ollie. Though, my truck ain't one of them fancy squad cars." Then he realized that Oliver was going to take him to his apartment. "Are ya sure about takin' this guy into yer home? I'm happy to accompany ya and provide protection." He held up his pistol.

Vince held out his wrists cooperatively as the detective handcuffed him, but when the other officer brandished his gun he gave him a nasty scowl.
"No need to flaunt it pops alright? I ain't gonna do nothin to him like this now am I?" He said holding up his cuffed wrists.

"He's still coming with us though." Oliver said leading the thug towards the door to the apartments. No one seemed to question it thank goodness. Once in his apartment he pulled up a chair for each of them. "Percy could you stand outside the door?"

Vince stood in the filthy apartment and eyed the detective suspiciously. "Rather more open to negotiations than I would have thought, aren't you detective?"
The words he used and the tone in which he spoke were no longer that of a street thug, but rather toose of a level headed negotiator at work. He had never received any sort of training, yet he had still managed to become proficient enough to sway more than a few unsavoury individuals to his benefit over the years.

"I wouldn't say that, it's just I want answers." With that he sat across from the man, placing a tape recorder on the table in front of them. "Would you like a cup of water? Or a half of a tuna sandwich?"

"I'm fine thank you." Vince said as he took a seat across from the detective.
How long had it been since he had been questioned by a police officer? The first time had been when he was 12 when he had managed to talk his way out of a burglary charge by telling them his little sob story. The most recent however had been about 2 years ago when he had been brought in for questioning about a gang shooting. The victim had been a friend, so he had been rather cooperative. Even still he held back on information to avoid getting too involved. Vince wondered what strategies he would be employing today.

"Alright, let's start with something easy. What's your name?" Oliver asked taking out a note pad.

So he wanted to start off easy huh? No problem."My name is Vincent Albert Gilmore but, only my mother ever called me Vincent. Everyone else calls me Vince."
Vince spoke easily, allowing himself to relax. By giving more personal information than was absolutely necessary he hoped to build some amount of trust between the two of them.
