You find a pile of supplies. What do you do now?

I pick them up and go back to the stables and clean the horses, making sure I gain their trust before cleaning them by reaching out my hand and stroking their face and neck with lots of encouraging "Good boy/ girl" I also avoid going behind the horse.

It all goes well untill.......a horse their sneaks in and grabs a horse! You rush to go save the horse but at the same moment the trader comes in! He thinks that you are helping the man steal the horse! What do you do now?
