Demon: he suddenly rares up and screams. he tosses his head from side to side.

Theta; he tries to hold on but can't.

Demon: he lands inches from Theta. his eyes show fear.


Kat; she opens the door to her house. "in here." she walks in side i little home. the walls are bare and there is nothing in the room. she stops suddenly. "dont move." she whispers. "we are not alone. back out slowly."

Yassen: he goes to back out but is stopped. In the middle of his back there is a blade, pointing at his spine.

Man: "one move and you both die."

Winter tumbles off Demon, landing on the ground a few feet from Theta. She groaned as she felt a stab of pain shoot through her arm. She tried to scramble to her feet, but slipped on a pile of leaves. Frostbite walked over to her, her sides heaving. She was secretly glad to have a rest. WInter grabbed Frostbite and heaved herself up. "Theta! Would Demon spook for no reason?" she asked, ready to make an ice sword.

Theta: "no. he has never been this spooked!" he runs over to the panicked horse and places a hand on his shoulder. the steed calms, and flares his nostrils. "he says that there is a Shape Shiftier near." he points to the left. "that way. she has Yassen. Demon will not take us there."

"We'll walk then," says Winter, creating an ice blade and sliding it into the sheath attached to her belt. She heads the way Theta pointed, Frostbite trotting at her side.

Theta: he draws his sword and walks toward the house.


Yassen: he slowly puts his hands up. "we mean you no harm." he says, making the mistake to talk. The dagger's blade stabs him in his back. he falls forward onto the floor.

Kat: she screams as the man comes toward her

Winter looks in through the window. Yassen is on the floor and an unfamiliar girl is being threatened by a guy with a dagger. She opens the door and tries to step through the threshold, but she can't. It's like there is an invisible wall. "Theta!" she yells, pounding on the wall she can't see.

Theta: "it is a Demon wall. we can not help her now."

Yassen: he props himself up an his right elbow. the room spins.

Kat: her face changes. she stares the intruder in the eyes. "now is that any way to treat a lady?"

Guy: he stops dead in his tracks. his eyes show fear. he brings the dagger up slowly. "no ma'm" he says and plunges the knife into his heart. he falls to the floor.

Kat; "i just hate it when i have to kill people. He had so much more life to live." she steps over the body of the man. she looks to the door, and waves her hand." you may come in now."

Winter steps in the door, warily. She looks at the girl, and then at Theta. She unsheathes her sword and thrusts it into the ground, her hand gripping the hilt.

Theta: he runs to Yassen's side. blood covers the boys back. "oh no, i have failed you Yassen." he hangs his head.

Yassen:"i am not dead yet." he rolls over on to his back, gritting his teeth.

Kat: "does anyone know how to help him?"

"I could stop the bleeding with my ice, plus it would numb the pain, but he needs more help. Perhaps the healer in the town, although it might be too late once we reached her," said Winter. She gently rolls Yassen back onto his stomach. She grabs the dagger from the dead man's wound and cut a strip of cloth off her cloak. She placed it on Yassen's wound and sealed it there with ice. "That's the best I can do," she says.
