Val nodded, Kit gave Sonic a glare, she was still a bit angry at him.

Sonic darted out from under the awning. "Come on." He beckoned. Holt shrugged and trotted off after him, and Shadow brought up the rear.

Val skated beside Holt while Kit stayed by Shadow with a content, but tired look.

(I am thinking of maybe killing off either Kit or Malory... or both...)

Sonic slowed to a halt, shaking himself briefly. "It was around here.... I think."

Kit sniffed the air and caught the scent of where they had been before, she trotted over to the alley they had been looking in and whacked her tail against the wall a couple of times to get their attention. Val looked at her mom, "Over there." she said pointing towards her mother.

Sonic walked over and his eyes widened a bit. He took a few steps forward, stooped down, and lightly touched the ground with two fingers. He slowly pulled back, rubbing his thumb over his fingertips. "Bloodstain." He mumbled.

Val tensed up, the faint smell of blood filled her nostrils, her eyes dilated. Kit narrowed her eyes as she walked over and sniffed the stain, she cringed and sneezed shaking her head and moving away from the stain.

(Val is gonna have bad reactions to the smell of blood)

Red took on his true form, eyes narrowed. "That's never a good sign."
Sonic nodded in agreement.
Shadow shoved him and Kit aside. "I'll take a look. I might be able to find out what caused it, but I need quiet. I'll meet you all later."

Val crouched slightly, her tail swayed behind her as she lightly growled. Kit huffed, not noticing her daughter in a pouncing position and ready to attack.

Red's old instincts kicked in, and he growled back. "Val, kid. Look at me. Now."
