Val shrugged, "I just gotta focus to understand really."

Kit nodded but then continued to glare at Sonic.

"Now she has a grudge on you." Val said simply.

"Oh, er, sorry." Sonic told Kit. "For picking you up. But we kinda needed to get outta the rain fast, y'know. I'll warn ya next time."

Kit huffed but nodded.

Val looked at Sonic, "What did you see anyway?"

"Unfortunately, not much. Just heard a shout." Sonic replied. "Bad timing."

"What if we went back and they're still there?" Kit asked.

Val repeated what her mother said, she thought it was a good idea.

Holt blinked. "What??"

Val and Kit sighed in unison, "If we went back to where Sonic and my mom were, the people who were there might still be there." Val explained.

"Oh, er sorry. I didn't understand your mom." Holt appoligized.

Val nodded, "It's ok, but she's right, if we go now, they might still be there."

Sonic cast a glance out at the rain, then huffed. "Alright but let's make it quick."
