"I don't plan to. You are going to be dealing my brother if he gets sick or injured." Douglas told him. "If Skipper ever does get hurt or sick I wish you the luck of the Ocean. You'll need it."

"Now that's one mobian I don't mind knocking oit for a few hours," Kaladin replied with a chuckle.

Douglas nodded. "The crew would agree most of them were captured and traded to Cutlas by Black Beard. My guess is that Black Beard will either keep Selkie's crew for himself or trade them to other pirates in his armada."

Kaladin narrowed his eyes, which took on a determined gleam. He glared at the floor so that he didn't turn it on Douglas instead, quills rustling. "I know it's not my battle, but..."

"Selkie offered for you to come along didn't he? I know Skipper hasn't thrown you or your friends overboard so it is partly your battle. Especially with the rumor going around about where he will strike next." Douglas told him.

"....And where is that?" Kaladin asked.

"Oh what is it called? Tropical island with someone else going at it too. Rumor has it Black Beard sold his services to a person named Void." Douglas tried to remember.

Kaladin's eyes widened in shock. "Void's the person after the Seven.... and Black Beard is working for her.... He's trying to find Angel Island, my homeland.... I knew something was wrong...." He said, voice just above a wisper.

"What can't hear you?" Douglas asked him."Too many voyages with my brother being the cannoner and me helping him."

"I think he's going to my homeland!" He repeated. Appearently, whispering was the only thing preventing him from going into a rant about this. He worriedly paced around in circles as he explianed that Void was after an ancient power hidden on Angel Island, and how it would spell Catatrophy if it fell into the wrong hands.
