Kit glared at Sonic and whacked his arm before sitting down and having a grumpy expression on her face.

"Oh, don't give me that look now." Sonic groaned. "I did nothing to you. Look, we'll leave as soon as Val and Knux get back, alright?"

Kit huffed,she glanced around hoping to see her daughter.

Val in the distance spotted her mother, Sonic, Shadow, and Holt, "They're up ahead." she said simply.

I coulda told you that, but why state the obvious? Red responded.
Sonic looked up and waved in greeting.
"Yo!" Holt called. "How'd it go?"

Val rolled her eyes before saying with a smile, "Hey, didn't find much, what about you guys?"

Holt shook his head. "No luck here either. Sonic and your mom found something, but didn't get a good look at it."
Sonic nodded once. "Yeah, y'know how it goes. Red give you any trouble?"

Val shook her head, "No, but I'm guessing you did something to get those marks on your arms." she said gesturing to the scratch marks on Sonic's arms.

Sonic offered a smile and shook his head. "Naw. Don't go worryin' about me. Barely noticed."

Kit glared at Sonic, "If you don't want to scratched don't pick me up." she growled.

Val raised an eyebrow, "You picked her up? No wonder you deserved it."

"Oh, you understand her?" Sonic asked, a bit surprised.
It's not hard... Red commented.
