Rex alighted and raised his tiny fists, staring down the foliage.

"CHAOOOO--!" A third chao, deep blue in coloring, let out a joyful cry as it burst out of it's hiding place, tackle hugging Rex who instantly wrestled him off.

Ajal startled slightly at the noise and looked at the chao hugging Rex, "A friend of yours?"

The blue one nodded vigorously, but the diamond shape above Rex's head morphed into a squiggle, signifying mispleasure.

Ajal bit back a smirk, "So the blue Chao is your Rogue, Rex? Or should I say with the color annoying Sonic?"

Rex glanced up at Ajal warily before shoving the blue chao off.

Ajal smirked knowing he was right, "Clove who's your friend?"

Clove spread her arms wide as if to say 'All the chao!'

"No the blue one Rex is not happy with," Ajal asked.

Clove looked around, wandered off, picked up a stick, and began writing in the dust. The only problem was that chao aren't the best writers and the inscription was incoherent.

Ajal gently put a hand on the stick, "May I borrow this?"
