Selkie didn't come back up for a while aand even then he looked melincholy.

"Rule seven. Words are a powerful weapon." Rookie chuckled as he took advantage of the change in Ajal's hold and made a break for it. Burst was nearby, but he was dozing.

Ajal chased after grabbing a stick he hurled like a boomerang catching it inbetween Rookie's legs, "Rule three analyze your opponet's strengths and weaknesses."

Rookie stumbled over it, but quickly regained balance. "Not falling for that again!" He barked, hopping over a bush.

Ajal growled and ran after him using tricks ingrained into him by his guild.

Rookie had a few advantages on his side. The first were his weaponry, but he didn't plan to use it. The second was speed and agility, and he had those times running missions with Sonic to thank for that. and the third... Rookie smirked. Ajal would find that one out. The wolf pup picked up the pace, bounding into the rainforest.

Ajal followed silently with the skill and perseistance of a true born wolf on the hunt.

Rookie glanced back and slowed to a halt.underneath a tree. He glanced up at the branch and nodded to himself. This was the spot.

Ajal stalked carefully to the spot to the point where he could see Rookie.

Rookie looked around warily, pacing in a slow circle with his ears twitching.
