Alister helped her up, treating her as though she were made of porcelain. He made she was steady before letting go, and shooting one last glare at Cully.. He knew that Electra would be mourning him later.. and he intended to be there for her.

Cully had staggered to his feet, too. He held on to the back of a chair as he clutched his shoulder; blood twined over his fingers. "Electa, I swear to you--you're making a big mistake," he panted. His eyes were bright blue, almost as familiar to Electa as her own. A har pain clenched Electa's heart as they regarded each other. The man had been a father figure to her; Electa had looked up to Cully more than anyone she'd ever known.
"Yeah, I know I am," she said softly. "I should kill you--the old Cully would have thanked me for it."

Alister let them be, and softly said, " I'll go get the car ready... " Before going outside. Electra was safe.. Cully had no other gun to his knowledge and he felt that Electra needed to say goodbye, even if they may run into him again. He went to the car, starting to check it over and such, making it road worthy.
