Jules hands him a spoon next. "Start stirring it, it'll be done soon." She smiles at Nathaniel seeing him watching them. She wondered what he could be thinking.

Kristine was scared of the look in his eyes and stayed frozen until he left the room. She jumped up and started pulling on her clothes. She still hurt all over but that didn't matter right then. She ran out ignoring the pain with each step as her vision blurred a bit. She followed him and watched as he hit the wall. She walked closer to him staying a few feet away. "Rick?" She said stepping a little closer. "Please don't leave..." She said her eyes watering.

Carl stirs the meal slowly.

Rick looks back at her. "Get away!" He shouts his voice cracked. "I don't want to hurt you."

Jules smiles. " GOod job Carl."

Kristine stops for a moment but doesn't try to back away. "Ya won't..." She said biting her lip. "I love ya. Please com back with me..." She said reaching her head out to him only about three feet from him.

Rick looks away. "Please GO! i dont want to hurt you!" he was yelling, screaming even. His eyes were crimson, buring with fires.

carl smiles.

Kristine walked closer still. "No, you're hurtin' yourself. I won't leave ya." She said as she touched his face looking him in the eye. "You would never hurt me..." She whispered waiting to see what he'd do.

Jules sat back with a sigh. "Ummm.. That smells good Carl." She said with a small smile. She realized how hungry and tired she was. She opened her eyes quickly remembering that Nathaniel had barely slept in days. "Why don't you go try and get some sleep before the soup's done?" She asked Nathaniel looking at him. For the first time she realized how tired his eyes looked.

Nathaniel smiled. "Nah. I'm good for now." He said as a yawn escaped.

Carl was finding it hard to keep the secret. "Nathainal?" He asks

Rick grabs her hand and bends it back. "I said leave!" His eyes were on fire, the red taking over. He lets go and runs away, hoping to hide from her.

Nathaniel yawned again. "Yes Carl?" He asked his eyes closed.

Jules stood up. "Come on Nathaniel you need to go to bed. Go sleep in the copter... Now!" She said worried that he might get himself hurt if he didn't get some sleep.

Nathaniel stood up. "Fine." He said smiling. He ruffled Carl's hair. "'Night Bud."

Kristine stared after him as he ran. That had hurt. She felt her eyes overflow. It was scaring her, he had changed. She runs after him. "Rick!" She sniffed as she cried harder. "Please don't hide from me. I-I need you!" She sat on the ground in the middle of the road covering her eyes with her hands as she cried.

Rick hide in an attic somewhere. He curls up in one of the corners, his knees to his chest. "Happy thoughts, happy thoughts." The color in his eyes dies down some.

Carl huffs and crosses his arms. "But what about Miss Jules surprise!"

Kristine started shaking as she cried. "Rick...." She said her voice cracking. She heard something behind her and turned around smiling. She froze. It was about five walkers. She staggered to get up. "Rick!!" She screamed as she started running with a limp. They would catch her if she didn't hurry. "Rick, Please!" She yelled looking behind her. She tripped and fell. She was too scared to move. She closed her eyes and waited for death to catch her.

Nathaniel looked at Carl then Jules. "She's pretty serious lookin'... I'll talk ta her tomorrow..." He said walking away.

Jules tilted her head at Carl. "What surprise?" She asked the boy as she heard the soup start to boil. She moved the pot away from the fire quickly. "How about you take some to Sophia? It should make her feel much better."She said with a smile.

Rick was nowhere near. He rocks back and forward, trying to calm down.

Carl looks away suddenly, not saying anything.
