"But I'm not doing a very good job of it," he muttered, sitting next to her.

"You're doing your best whihc is better then we've able to do."

He shrugged. "That's because you guys weren't in a group before. You were alone."

"So what alone we were more likely to get into trouble," Desta explains, "you on the other hand have to deal with a group."

"Yeah, but I would rather be in a group than alone. There's safety in numbers."

"I suppose that's true," Desta mutters quietly.

He nodded, not saying anything else at the moment, just sitting in silence

Desta fights to stay awake still worried about what could happen and thinking about her family.

He notices and chuckles. "You really should sleep. You need it."

"Alright good night," Desta motions for Maverick to go before lying down.
