(Yeah. But he lives with huge dragons so everything's still tiny-seeming)
The human has the sun in its hand. It's using the sun to leave a single ray of light, illuminating whatever section of cave it points to. Two others file in, also carrying suns, pointing the light in different places as they head further inside. The cave is massive- they haven't noticed the dragons yet.

He backed up behind stalagmites (the ones on the ground) and watched the humans, pretty well hidden.
