Tarka rolled out of bed easily that morning, fanning his tail as he stretched out his wings and legs. After he felt somewhat refreshed, he hopped up the stairs and onto the deck. He strooled to the side of the boat and peered over, humming quietly to himself as he studied the horizon and took in the scent of the sea.

Terrin glances out at the sea, "So are you taking the look out position today? Is this your first job on a ship?"

"Eep!" Tarka exclaimed, spinning around to face Terrin. He let out a short sigh, followed by a grin. "Crikey, no need ta sneak up on me like that, haha." He straightened out his feathers as he continued. "Well, no, haven't asked the cap'n if I could join the crew officially yet."

"Sorry it's a force of habit after living with Kit all these years," Terrin chuckles, "Well I'd ask if I was you or are you going to work as a passanger while we're sailing?"

"Mm, not sure yet." Tak replied, fanning his tail. "On one hand, sounds great. On the other hand, would I need to stay by the water all of the time? Decisions, y'know?"

Terrin shrugs, "I know from a pal of mine once we reach the ship's destination we can leave the job if we want to.''

Tarka shrugged. "I'll think about it mate." He replied cheerfully. "But speakin' of who, I think I'mma go bid the cap'n g'day!" He added before twirling around and making his way back below deck.

Sharky smiled at Kit. If'n ye can set the table whilst I finish this. Tis just a simple breakfast of oatmeal and fruit. Best not to eat heavy on yer first mornin of sailin' me hearty." He stirred the pot while humming a tune to himself.

Kit gets to work setting the table her ears showing she was alert for any suprises, "I understand Captain."
After a few minutes she finished setting the table then without being asked started to pour water into the cups.


Terrin nods once, "Alright then see you later. If you need me I'll keep watch for anything that could be a potential hazzard."
