Vince must have been tired himself that night because it was only then that he realized that the detective had asked if he would be "the next to be murdered"

"You don't, you... wait... next to be murdered... you mean to tell me those murders that've been happening lately are black cats doing?"

"From what little evidence we have all lead go to them." Oliver said trying to hide his fear. Where did the gun go?! How had he lost it? Maybe he just left it in the car...though it still didn't help at all.

Vince's tail twitched and he ran a paw through his hair as his hart began to pound wildly. ****** ****** ******! This was bad. Why had the higher ups hidden their involvement in the murders from him? Did they know he was investigating them himself? No... that wouldn't make sense. If that were the case they wouldn't intentionally given him a mission where he could so easily get that information.

"Are you saying that you aren't involved in the murders?" Come on Becca! Hopefully she would get the call and could get the team over here before the head detective came up dead as well.

Percy was driving his dirty, white pickup truck, trying to remember where Oliver lived. He scratched his head as he looked at the care basket his sister-in-law gave him to give to Oliver. Yes, he had left work, went home, then drove back into town to give Oliver the care package. "He sure sounded like he was coming down with somethin'." He found the street he was looking for and turned.

(@Sc0ut You are confusing me more than a little here buddy, talking in first person isn't helping either. Where are shiva and Alex anyways, because they sure as heck aren't near Vince and Oliver. Vince isn't an amateur, he knows how to avoid being spied on.)

Vince's ears flicked back as he caught a sound that might've been a whisper. Raising his voice and adopting a intimidating stance, Vince spoke again. "You and I got some things to discuss detective. You wouldn't wanna cause a fuss out here in the street now would you? Why don't we take this somewhere a little more private, yeah?"
His demeanour was far more thuggish and exaggerated than normal, though his expression was serious. He hoped his intentions were getting through to the detective. We could be under watch and we could be in bit trouble if we kept on talking out here.

Percy was now driving down Oliver's street. He saw the Tom with his tazer out and aimed at some punk looking cat. He made a sharp turn and came to a halt by the curb. Now he knew he wasn't the best backup, but every country cat knew how to shoot. He grabbed a pistol he kept in his glove box, then stepped out of the truck. "Howdy, there, Oliver. Is this here cat givin' ya problems?"
