Astrid grinned, and nodded. Then the voice boomed over the loudspeaker. She jumped, and turned to see a man at the podium. She cocked her head and pricked her ears, listening to him talk.

Orion whispers "You'll just have to wait 'till after this," he says, as he turns toward the podium at the front of the room. His anger slowly burned itself out, leaving him empty and exhausted. At least that's what usually happened. This time, his anger was replaced with happiness. Probably because I have something to look forward to.

Ember jumped at the voice, and shrunk back in her chair, as if the noise could hurt her. She wanted to clap her hands over her ears, but she knew she was supposed to listen. She hoped A'ine didn't notice her fear. Even if she could read minds. She wondered if her mind was crying out like the girl she had pointed out. Ember tried to calm her fear. Why am I afraid of loud noises? They can't hurt me. Can they? She gripped her book tighter. As Mythos talked, she calmed down. The original surprise and fear began to fade, but she was edgy.

Ping! Look up!

Serene smiled at the red headed boy's bow. "Hm, would else would you expect from a circus guy?" she thought with a small grin. She spoke. "A flaming pegasus? Sounds interesting." she said with a nod. She threw her star up again and caught them and repeated the process while she spoke again. "Thanks. I have way more though." Serene pulled more shiny stars out of her pocket. She threw them up one at a time. Then she laughed. "Pfft, yeah. It's hard to not lose them." she said, putting back half of her stars. "But I kinda got used to it." Serene looked over at Bella, seeing if she was going to say anything else.

Oceanna looked up and saw their headmaster speaking up at the loudspeaker. She leaned over to Astrid and spoke. "Heehee! I can't wait to do this! This'll be so much fun!" she whispered to her friend, barely listening to what the headmaster had said.

Astrid grinned and whispered back, "Neither can I! Wait. One problem. If we're in the sound booth, we won't be able to see the people's reactions!" She hit her knee for emphasis. It's nice to have someone to plot with. This is going to be the most fun I've had in years!

Orion answered, "I wanted to draw a student in monster form or human form. I don't know who yet... unless you want me to draw you." He realized he might have hit a nerve. He knew she got teased for how she looked in monster form. Seriously Orion, you have to be more careful! You know that she got teased about that. Not that she should have. He looked sideways at her.


Ember suddenly felt glad that A'ine could read minds. There was something comforting about her knowing her fear. She felt a weight lift from her chest and she looked at A'ine. "Thank you," She said, her fear completely gone. "Sorry about that. No one knows where I got that fear from, but it helps that you know it."

Jora was excited for after class.... until she realized Orion might want to draw her. I hope not. I don't know what I'd do if he asked me to go into monster form. Jora waited for the headmaster to stop talking then asked Orion, "Can't you tell me, or is it a surprise?"

A'ine saw and felt Ember jump in surprise and heard her ask two questions. Hoping she hadn't heard them in her mind A'ine sits down next to her and says "I don't know why you're scared of loud noises, but yes some noises could actually hurt." Hoping she wasn't going out of line A'ine tried what she and her brother were practicing. She tried filtering the voice through her mind into Ember's to make it quieter. She felt it working and was excited that it was.

Alderic was quite pleased that he got Corwin to sit with Bella and noticed him blushing Wow! All those years with conniving sisters trying to set everybody up was actually worth something! I hope they don't find out 'bout this. He in turn sat down next to Serene and noticed her looking at Corwin, he leaned over to her without Corwin and Bella seeing and whispered "Am I good or what?" He sat up straight and crossed his arms waiting for some food. He decided it was to quiet in the chaotic room and asked Serene "So Serene, do you like fighting with anything besides stars? I've got my whole ninja arsenal up in my room."

Corwin looked at Bella, surprised. "An alicorn? Wow, you must have pretty strong magic." he said. He paused, hearing what Alderic had to say. He elbowed him. "Whatever." he said with a small frown.
Bella looked down then up at Corwin. "How do you know about alicorn magic?" she asked, curiously, trying to sound as nice as possible. "Are- Are you an alicorn too?" Her eyes widened and her brows arched. Then she thought for a moment. "Well... He doesn't look like he'd be an alicorn... I could be wrong."
He looked at the pink girl and gave her a small smile. "Oh no, I'm just a unicorn." he said. "Well, a unicorn who can control dark magic, not light. I mean, my parents controlled light magic, but I was born with it." he said. He noticed he was rambling on. "Oh, I said to much." he realized.
Bella gave him a kind but shy smile. "It's okay. Maybe you could tell us later. I mean, if you want." she said. She was intrigued by his story... Or maybe his childhood. "I should ask him if he could tell me about his childhood! That'd make such a good base on the story I'm writing!" she thought with excitement. Then her excitement faded. "But... What if he says no? Oh, maybe he's sensitive about his past... I shouldn't ask him." Bella nodded to herself. She wanted to bring up something, but she didn't now what. Then she faced Serene. "Serene, you didn't tell the guys what equine you are." she said quietly.

(Whoa. I was hooked. XD A lot to type on here. Phew.)
