She hugged herself, and I reached out to her. "Emila...Did he threaten you...? Did he hurt you?" I asked, and her usually large amber eyes were reduced to a small circle. I retracted my hand. "Please..." I begged. "You don't have to stay with him...We can start over." She covered her face with her hands. "Together," I finished.
"It's too late," she whispered and then turned and ran. I should have known better than to believe that she'd stay. I stared after her, my vision blurring. Especially for a nobody...who had nothing real to offer.

Ok... Well do you want to time skip then? Brooke's in bed and Hazel's watching TV.

The next morning, Shawn was rummaging around in his locker, organizing it for the third time.

Ian looked like more of a mess than usual, kind of like yesterday, just without the sticks and leaves in his hair

Hazel and Brook were talking at Hazel's locker about Brook's math pre-test coming up tomorrow.

When Shawn finally spotted Brook, he went over to say hi

Brook waved.
"Good morning" She told Shawn with a bright smile.
Hazel just waved with a smile as he came over.

"Morning. How did you guys sleep last night?"

"I slept great... What about you Hazel?... Uh Hazel?"
Hazel zoned out, noticing something wrong with Ian.
Brook tapped her shouler. And she snapped out of it.
