Kristine looked up at him and bit her lip. "Let's watch the sun set first... Then ya have ta go tell Carl ya are alive." She looked out over the city again and held his hand. "Than ya can do whatever ya want..." She looks back up at him and kisses him leaning into him.

Nathaniel looked back at the girl with red hair who was following them.

She looked down at the boy. "He's out side."

Rick smiles. He kisses her back. "Your to kind." He says.

Carl walks out side. "Is Simon ok? I did not mean to hurt him."

Simon was shifting in the seat. "God someone help me!"

Kristine sighed happily. "Nah... I'm just lucky." She leaned her head on his shoulder. "Again, why me? I mean ya seemed ta want to have a baby pretty badly and there's no way of tellin' if I ever will..." She said biting her lip nervous about his answer.

She shrugs. "I don't know. And you did alright. He was trying to kill you." She said oddly calm.

Kara jumps up and runs over to Simon. "What's wrong?" She asked seeing him shift

Simon was sweating. "It's my damn leg!" He cries out.

Carl nods. "Are you sure?"

Rick smiles more. "A child would bring us closer together, and who's knows it may even bring the group together more."

Kara nodded. "I know that! What's wrong with it?"

She nods. "He had his hands around your neck."

Kristine shook her head. "That's not the answer ta the question I asked." She said closing her eyes. "It that's why ya want me then ya don't want me. Why did you pick me?" She asked turning her face away from him.

"Because I saw that way you helped people, and i loved it. I love the way you talk, the way you walk, the very air around you. You remind me of my wife, which is great seeing she is gone." Rick turns her head toward him. He kisses her.

Carl looks down. "But ms Kristen saved me."

Simon glares at her and points the his knees cap.

Kristine felt a few tears run down her face as he spoke. She put her arms around his neck and held him there. She didn't want to move away from this moment.

She nodded once again. "Then you yelled that you hated her. And kicked her several times." She spoke bitterly. "And she didn't try and hurt you back."

Nathaniel felt like violating all he believed in. He wanted to turn around and hit the girl. But locked his jaw instead. "Don't listen ta her Carl. Mom loves ya and wouldn't let ya beat yourself up about bein' angry."

Kara threw her arms in the arm. "I don't know how to help you." She looked around and saw Casey. "Casey! Get your doctor self over here!" She yelled.

Casey was tending his stomach. He walks out his abdomen half bandaged. "Yes?"

Carl turns to the girl. "You take that back!"

Rick rocks her slowly. "Come on let's go find Carl. I bet he will cry when he sees me."

Kara looked at him wide eyed and pointed at Simon. "I can't help him."

She turns around and starts walking away. "Why should I? It's the truth. You both lost someone you loved and you hated her for something she couldn't help." She started walking faster. "And he died saving you. If anyone should be hated for your father's death, it is you." She finished saying and she was gone.

Nathaniel grabbed Carl before he could think about chasing the girl. "It ain't your fault don't ya believe a word she said." He said looking Carl in the eye.

Jules patted Carl's back. "And she is wrong. That's what the surprise is." She said trying to make him feel a little better.

Kristine stands up really smiling for the first time in forever. "I think he will too." She started feeling a little dizzy again and her leg and stomach hurt from where Carl had kicked her. "Do ya know what else I think?" She asked tilting her head standing very still waiting for him to stand.

Rick stands. "What?" He holds her hand as they walk inside.

Carl bursts into tears when he hears this. Was he really to blame?

Casey nods. "Looks like his shin is broken." Casey looks over the man leg. "Yep, it's a simple break. Kara I will need a PEICE of wood."
