I was at a beach that looked just like any other. "It looks beautiful on you," I said to her as she was examining the bracelet on her hand. "I've never been fond of my hands," she said. "Do you really think this looks good on me?" "On a pretty girl like you?" I asked, taking her hand in mine and bringing it to my lips, winking. "I know so."
"I'll take twenty," she said. I closed the case that held all the trinkets I sold. I liked to think I made an honest living. "Heheh, too easy~," I said to myself, snickering. "Like stealing candy from a baby!" Okay, so maybe I wasn't completely "honest". But you get what I mean. I just do whatever it takes to get me by. Home is wherever my feet may take me.
I had begun to walk away, but I sensed someone behind me, so I stopped and turned. Sweet. I had already found my next victim--er, I mean--"valued customer". I walked up to her, examining her.
"Yes? Can I help you?" She asked. She had the most beautiful eyes, they were golden, just like the ore. "Aha! I was hoping you'd ask that," I said, putting on my most charming smile. "You see, I can't really decide...if your eyes are more of a stunning amber color or a golden-ish sunset hue? What do you think, miss? I might have just the thing to compliment those gorgeous eyes of yours."
For a second, she hadn't said anything, and then she began to laugh. I was shocked. She asked, "Is that the best you can do? I mean really! I'm sure you can do better than that cheap flattery."
"...Dang. You got me. I knew I should've gone for a different approach."
"Either way, your flirting would have never worked on me."
"Oh, is that so?" I asked. She held her left hand up, and on her ring finger, there was an engagement ring. "Phew~ that's some rock you got there," I had said. "With a ring like that, you must be head over heels for the guy, huh?"
"Ah...w-well--yes, I suppose. But anyway, I saw you hustling that girl earlier! Don't you feel the slightest bit of shame taking advantage of women like that?"
"Nope." I shrugged, and she glared. "What? I'm not hurting anyone! It's business, sweetheart."
"Hmph! Well, aren't you a sorry excuse for a man? If I were you, I'd find something more meaningful to do with my time. Have a nice life!" She had trudged away, and I called, "Congratulations on your marriage~!"

Oh... So another Hazel xD. Now I get why you said I've heard of that before because of Hazel saying "You're an excuse of a man" lol. It's all coming together for me now :3
