Asgore nodded, as if expecting that. *many monsters dont have an idea on what to do. Trust me, Iv asked. Iv even told them if they do get an idea, no matter how strange, they should suggest it. We need ideas and help, or well still be trapped in the Underground. But this time, not by the barrier, but just by uncertainty and worry.*

Frisk nodded sadly.

"Y-your Highness? I-I-- Well, we, might have an idea-- if you aren't busy, that is!" A voice stuttered from the doorway.

Asgore smiled. *im not. Come in!* he called.

After a moment, Alphys hesitantly stepped inside, Sans right behind her.
"YOU SHOULD BE WORKING!" Papyrus chatised.
"break." Sans mumbled in response.

Asgore said, *so, whats your idea?*

"i won't lie to ya, we've been listening in for a bit, and i much as i hate to say it, frisk talkin' is kinda our only option." Sans started.

Alphys went on. "R-right. As we all know, the Barrier was put in place by powerful human mages-- seven to be precise. But since nobody is monitering the barrier and none of the records speak of any of the fallen humans using magic..."

Sans cast Frisk a brief, unreadable glance.

"...That probably means the practice died off, and most of their knowledge of monsters, SOULs, and magic with it. Um, Frisk, d-does that sound about right?"

Frisk nodded. *yeah. The only monsters we talk about are ones under our beds, which is meant to scare little kids. And magic is known as fiction.*

"well, if that's what you humans think of us, no wonder." Sans remarked. "hiding under people's beds seems pretty phyco."
"That's what we thought..." Alphys spoke up again, ignoring Sans's comment. "Well, what if you spoke with some friends about it, somebody you could trust? On the Surface, I mean."

Frisk frowned. *maybe. Im not sure.*

"C-could you try?" Alphys asked hopefully.
Sans glanced up at the ground and rocked back on his heels. "tch."
