Holt was trying to make smal talk with Shadow (Key word being 'trying') when the group arrived. Red was nearby as well, casually in the form of a non-mobian echidna. He was the first to notice them come in, but didn't bother shifting his form. He instaed lifted a clawed paw in greeting.

Kit gave the hedgehog a look, she may have slept well but she didn't care for attitude, but Val leaned against a tree and folded her arms, her ears were perked forward slightly twisting to catch more sounds.

Sonic casually stepped over and tugged lightly on Kit's arm. "He's always like that. Don't take it personally." He said, earning a light chuckle from Red. Shadow merely ignored them and kept talking, now having both Holt and Val's attention.
"There have been reports of several individuals suddenly lashing out and attacking passerbys in a momentary burst of agression. Afterwards, the aggresors are left confused and with not memory of the conflict. There seems to be no pattern to these attacks, and nobody can figure out what's causing them."
Red spoke up next. "Right. So, what you'll need to do is find one of these attacks and report back what happened. We'll split into three pairs. Shadow and I will be headed with you in case things get messy, and Sonic will be with Kit, and hopefully Sonic will be an adult--"
"Hey!"
"--And keep an eye on her. Shadow will be with Holt, and I'll stay with Val. Everyone understand?
