"I'm fine Kaladin just a slight cough," Douglas responds.
Skipper looks over at them with a doubting look.

(Kal and Skipper:)



"Are you sure about that??" Kaladin inquired. "I could get you something for it if you'd like..."

(Nice)

"Yes I'm fine Kaladin," Douglas protests.
Skipper shakes his head.

(...Wait.... Waaaaiiiit.... You aren't killing him off, are you?)

Kaladin appeared unsure, but nodded. "If you say so."

(For goodness sake no! He's one of my best characters ever. I'll give you a heads up though remember when Selkie and Kaladin were talking as ghosts in The Chaos Wielders when Skipper broke his leg?)


Kai sniffs Douglas.
"I'm fine Kai really you both worry too much," Douglas protests.

(Oh, that's a relief! I was thinking back to the converstaion Skipper had with Locke and Kal reguarding the kit....)

"You say that like it's a bad thing," Kaladin noticed. It was hard to tell if he was being sarcastic or not.

(Oops.)

(No I'm not going to kill him off at least not for another dozen or so years in the roleplay)


"Kaladin I learned when I was young not to worry about every little detail that I couldn't control," Douglas explains, "you need to learn the same lesson."

Kaladin glanced sheepishly to the side, mumbling what was probably an appolgy. "I... You're right." He spoke up after a moment.

Douglas nods once, "Want to try figuring out the kits name again?"
The kit climbs into Douglas's lap.
