Myra opened her mouth, closed it, and looked at Shara in suprise. *Scuz me?*

Shara sighed, and said, "Two and a half years ago, I thought Darius was the one I was prophesied to marry. He was an outsider, washed ashore. My father would have skinned me alive if I'd expressed any interest in a female, by the way. I began courting him, and we were happy for a time. Thank the gods my tribe has a tradition of being handfasted for a year and a day. The love sputtered out in the first six months. But now I know, I was prophesied to marry you Myra."

Myra opened and closed her mouth. *SCUZ ME?! Prophecized?!*

"Even if I weren't prophesied to be your mate, I would still love you, Myra," Shara said.

"I was prophesied to marry an outsider, someone from off the island," Shara said, "Naturally, it was ambiguous."
