Kristine smiled as she cried. She hugged him back holding on tightly. "Don't ya even talk like that, ya hear me?" She started shaking from crying so hard. "Did ya talk ta Carl yet?" She asked closing her eyes leaning into him.

"No I did not see him." He hugs her close. "Please I don't want to leave you empty handed again with only a memory of me." He kisses her. "To the room to be alone?"

He had finally picked the lock. The lack of food must have gotten to him. He had been listening to their conversion and had to keep from snorting as he snuck up on them. This man was really insane.

Kristine shook her head. "Ya need to tell Carl first... He was destroyed when ya were gone." She said feeling the bruises from the boy's kicks. She heard a man snicker behind her and spun around knowing who it was. She froze dead still. "J-john?" She said her voice shaking.

Nathaniel had been watching to make sure they were alright before he left. He was just about to turn away when he saw his mom turn frightened. He started running up the stairs.

John smiled evilly. "Hello Kristine. Now what's this about you trying to reproduce again?" He said getting closer to her. His smile disappeared as he backhanded her on her cheek. She feel with a thud and stayed down.

Nathaniel got to the top of the stairs just as the man knocked his mom out. He pulled his fist back and used his running momentum to punch the guy in the jaw. "Rick, get her out of here!" He yelled as he blocked the man from getting to Kristine.

Rick was not going to have it. "No..." He stands. His eyes glowed a faint red, the virus taking him. He charges the man with new found strength. "Get her out!" He hits John. "What's your deal ******!"

John starts laughing idiotically. "You should listen to the boy. It's family business." He shoves Rick back towards where Kristine was laying. "Besides, I owe him for putting me in here...." He said glaring at Nathaniel.

Nathaniel glared back at him. Keeping his feet ready to dodge blows from him. "Please, Rick. Just let me deal with my own ghosts. Mom'll never forgive me if I let ya stay and fight my fights."

But Rick was taken by rage. He runs at John again this time biting. He had no clue that his bite was the same as a walkers. He had no control the monster wanting out.

Nathaniel slowly backed away from Rick and his father. He quickly picked up Kristine and started running down the stairs. There would be no way she wouldn't get hurt if he didn't move her quick.

John howled in pain and rage at Rick's bite. "Seem Kristine hasn't gotten any better at her pick of men." He said shoving Rick back holding his shoulder where Rick had bitten him. "She went from me to someone even more Crazy." He winced as he moved his shoulder. "From a monster to a much wilder monster." He said starting to laugh again.

Rick looks him in the eyes the red still glowing. "I'm not a monster, I'm just like you, only better." Ricks body was calming down, knowing that the bite would be enough to kill the man.

John laughed and fell on his knees. "Could have fooled me. Good luck ever getting close to Kristine again. Didn't you notice how fast Nathaniel ran... He never has been that scared.... even of me." He fell to the side closing his eyes.

Nathaniel walked all the way to the heli and Jules jumped up and opened the door for him to put his mom down. "Thanks, watch her for me?" He asked looking Jules in the eye.

Jules could tell he was bugged about something. She touched his shoulder. "What's going on?" His expression scared her a bit. "It just.... Mom feel in love with a monster again and the both of them got in a fight. I don't know who won though."

Rick shook afraid of what he had just done. "What?" He touched the blood on his face, it was all too real. He had bite the man, had killed him, but how? He touched his shoulder were the bit had been, but was now healed. That was how, he was infected. He wanted to cry, to run. Now he could never love anything in fear he would kill them. Was this how Kegan felt?

Kegan was watching. "I see I am no longer alone." The put a hand on Ricks shoulder. "It takes over when you are mad that is all, don't fret. You will learn to controll it, to an extent. Think of it like the hulk." The man smiles. "I like the eye glowing, that's new, and the healing. The virus must want you alive or you would be dead."
