John pondered over this for a moment. "...I think... I'd enjoy the company." He replied, looking down at his menu. "I'll start with a glass of water." He added, though that request was directed towards the waiter, of course.

The waiter takes down their orders, Sherlock having tea.
"Very well Watson I'll do my best to help," He answers, "in the mean time would you like me to get Toby* after we leave?"

(My brian shortcircuted and went "Oh, the indie game dev." But then I went "No, she wouldn't have meant that.")
But yes, I know Toby.)

John smirked. "You think we'll need him?"

"Watson from what I saw of that boy I'd say we're going to need help. By any chance did you happen to keep the note that was written by Jonathan?"

Watson glanced up from his menu. "Er... Yes. Yes, I think it's back at the flat."

"Good I hope it still has enough of Jonathan's scent on it so Toby can track him," Holmes glances at a smuge on the table, "Tsk someone spilt red wine recently..."

"And what do you deduce from that?" John asked idly.

"Judging by the stain I'd say whoever spilt it was not happy in the least bit. Also judging by the scratch mark on the table I'd say that someone rejected a marriage proposal. What adds to that is a slight bit of gold left in the table from the ring. Most likely one or both ended up wearing the wine instead of drinking it," Sherlock puts his fingertips together, "Did I miss anything while you were looking into other angles for the case?"

"Johnathan got bit by a dog. Turns out he knew the dog's owner, took it back to whoever that was. Aside from that, I don't think you missed much.

"That explains the call aout a rabid dog," Sherlock chuckles, "Good thinking."
