They need names and genders.

When you enter the mingling area, you immediately get all of the neko's and hybrids staring at you. They are all sniffing at the air. A young bunny neko walks up to you. It tugs on your backpack. A wolf neko pulls it away. The wolf neko from the shop, was right, they do seem to want the totem. They didn't react this way to anyone else.
What entity do you want to talk to?

The wolf neko notices Evilowlcastcast and sets the bunny down. It turn around and growls at you both. It gets down into a fighting stance and growls again. What do you do?

I ask Topaz to take the bunny neko to a safe place and try to calm the wolf neko down.

You find a random vine. [don't ask where it came from]
You ram a stick into the dirt and tie the vine around it to use for support. You make your way down to the neko. As you pick it up to examine it for any injuries, you see that it had only been lying down on its tail awkwardly, which had been causing it pain. Once you both climb out, he climbs into your backpack and looks like he has no intention of getting out.
