you should be able to buy access to your second party slot as soon as you have access to Esior's Haven.
What exactly do you mean by the game "won't allow you to" use two (as in, what are you doing/trying to do currently to add your second party pet)?

It just shows that I haven't unlocked the slot yet. Idk how to do that. I'm new to this so this might be a dumb question haha

you can buy your second party slot in the sylesti plaza in esior's haven (third slot can be bought from the sanctuary of saerielle plaza once you reach region 2, Umbra Forest)

Astryl's Tranquility --- Vorpar Battle
How do I defeat him or get out of the battle, my pets are all level 64, he's 60
I've been stuck in this battle for at least 30minutes or longer, can't run away and any time I do a little damage, He justs spawns the minions, who take forever to kill and then he has full health again, and I'm back to the start of being stuck where I can't defeat him, and it won't let me run from the battle either. It's getting to be really frustrating and reminds me why I don't do anything with the story line.
