She shivered the memory of the flood hit her.

Featheredtail strutted along the beach keeping a weary eye on the storm above. CRASH. She turned wide eyed as a wave hit the beach where Stormstar and Rippleshade were. She screamed as he torrent covered them both up, Rippleshade pinning Stormstar down. She screamed again as a wave engulfed her bluring out her vision. She paddled uselessly the direction up seemed to be unachieved. She flailed blindly red flaring in her vivsion and her lungs burning. She heard a yowl then a splash. She saw Strmstar swimming towards her, her world went inky black.--next morning-- She awoke in the medicine den like area water in shallow pools around her. She got up flicking her tail across her flank. She was alive. She felt another cats presense. Stomstar. He was staring up at her from his make-shift nest his eyes tired.--They traveled back to camp through the now calm waters, Stormstar grim and silent.--

Thistle noticed Featheredtail go stiff under the warm water.

"Featheredtail? Is something wrong?" he asked worriedly.

Dewkit meowed.
'MOM!! Why can't I see?!!'
Well, he TRIED to say that. What came out was
'Mrmph wph ghhyurh ghyurh?'

His mother sighed contently as she picked him out from underneath the pile of twigs, leaves and moss.

Featheredtail-- She snapped out of it. "...Fine..." she tucked her paws beneath her and her tail wrapped around her paws.

Thistle frowned slightly, but accepted the lie, "If you say so."

He then slipped his forepaws out of the water and got up.

"I'll be right back with something you can dry off with," he explained, jumping off the counter and treading up the stairs to the second floor.

He came to a stop in front of a slightly ajar door and pushed it open further to reveal towels, sheets, and blankets on high shelves and medical cases on the floor under them. He jumped onto the lowest shelf, the one with the towels, snatched one and leapt down. He returned downstairs after nudgoing the closet closed.

Dragging the towel with him as he leaped back onto the counter, he announced his return, "I'm back!"

Featheredtail got up slipping slightly and onto the counter sliding around slightly until she stopped herself.

Thistle placed the now unfolded towel in front of Featheredtail after hopping back onto the counter.

"Here, lay on this. It will help you dry off as well as keep the heat in for just a bit longer," he said, slipping behind her to shut the water off.
