"No, just my friend." She said. She knew there was another dragon here, but she didn't want to worry Cascade. "Do you have any one in your family?" She asked.

"If otters count then yes I have a family of four." He looks around. "Do you know what season it is?" He asks as he shivers. The water on his fur slowly freezes from Avalanche's cold.

The she dragon watches still, waiting for her chance to take a tasty animal from the pile. She was a bad hunter, for the animals knew she was coming. She was starving as it was now.

"Heh, I guess otters count. It's spring, why do you ask?" She says, eyeing Avalanche.

Cascade shivers. "I'm just cold is all." He says his breath fogging up before him. "That's strange."

Avalanche moves closer to the pile, her white frost covered skin shining in the sun. She hated being white everything could see you. She could barely even get a drink as well the water would freeze before she could. At least she was able to live when the others were asleep in the winter.

"Here's why!" She said, trying to hold down Acalanche's neck. "This dragon is the scorce of the cold."

Avalanche was too weak to struggle. She had gotten so close to finding food, to living, only to be struck down by another dragon. She huffed, blocking snow from her nose.

Cascade looked at the other she dragon. "She's a snow dragon, cold by nature, she can't help that she freezes everything."

"Tell me, Snowy, what are you doing here?" She asked, a smile on her face.

"Avalanche." She chokes. She breath was enough to freeze to grass in front of her. "My name is Avalanche." She struggles to free herself, but the other dragon was tops strong for her.

Cascade watched in silence, unable to look away. He felt sorry that a strong spirit like hers could be so easily Broken by the shear force of nature.
