Kit seemed surprised that her daughter could understand when listening intently, "Then you can understand what I'm saying when paying close attention?" her mother asked, Val nodded, "Yeah, although sometimes when I lose interest their words kind of blank out or something."

Red nodded. Thank me later.

Val glanced at Red, she flicked an ear and turned back to Kit, "So that means you don't need lessons on speaking canine, you just need to pay close attention." Val nodded, "Guess so."

Red stood up and hopped up and onto a rock with two fluid motions. Exactly.

Val looked at Red, "Can you teach me how to speak in canine?" she asked in canine unknowingly, Kit blinked, "You just spoke in canine."

You're a fox. You speak it naturally. I bet I speak echidna naturally. If they weren't, y'know, extinct. Red shrugged.

Val tilted her head in slight confusion, "But I've never spoken fox before." she said in canine, this time she sounded more like a wolf.

You have, unknowingly. It's in your blood. Red said. Part of you. I could twirl a spear even though I never learned how.

Val nodded, "I guess that makes sense, but I tend to chat with wolves a bit more than foxes." she confessed scratching behind her left ear.
