She made sure to hold firmly and sacurely onto Kate's legs at her sides then put her wings up to begin thrusting down. "You sure?" She didn't want to scare Kate again.

She nodded. "Yeah. I'm not afraid of heights so I should be fine."

"Okay. Hold tight." She said,then she thrust down with her wings and thrust up with her legs,and after a moment or two she was moving up fairly well. She kept her balance and a steady pace with her wings.

Kate clung to D, laughing breathlessly. "This is amazing!"

She smiled and glided smoothly over a few trees and caught an air current,gently keeping steady as she let it hold up her wings. She closed her eyes,smiling and feeling more free than ever.

Kate kept laughing joyfully as she watched people and cars go by underneath them

D's wings shimmered softly and beautifully in the changing light of the sky,their elegance seemed to be made for the sky,not to be bound and held in a cell. Everytime she flapped it kept them steady and the motioned seemed automatic and natural. Smooth and trained.

Kate watched D fly, amazed. She kind of wished that she could be a hybrid like Diana, too.

She looked back at her,smiling. Her golden eyes glittered happily and she really seemed to feel so much more free up here.

Kate felt free in the air, too, like she could do anything.
