Myra chuckled.

Maia rubbed her eyes sleepily and grumbled, mumbling baby talk. She opened them and blinked, her eyes seemingly large compared to her whole face. She looked up at Shara and smiled, yipping.

Eon saw something and frowned, and slithered over to his kid. *Maia, come here.* he held out his arm, and his kid slithered up it onto his shoulder.

Eon took Maia and held her mouth open gently with 1 hand. Maias forked tongue suddenly shot out, tasting the air. But apparently, at the bottom of her mouth, she also had a canine tongue, sitting there.

Eon nodded. *Maia has 2 tongues.*

Maia pulled her tongue back and gurgled, before slithering back onto Sharas neck and curling up comfortably.

"That's...odd," Shara said.

Eon just nodded.

Maia looked up at Shara and gurgled happily.

Shara smiled at Maia.

Maia smiled and reached up, holding Sharas chin in an iron grip.

'Strong, too,' Shara said telepathically.

Eon grinned.

Maia somehow tightened her grip, it being on the edge of painful.

Shara's eyes glowed violet, and a ball of purple fire appeared above Maia, then fell onto her chest. The ball wasn't hot at all.

(So, I was thinking I could add Shara's parents. One will have been a stranded human.)

Maia freaked out at first, then poked the ball and smiled, laughing. She kept poking it.

(Cool. Also, Im throwing in my characters now.)

Suddenly, Darius heard voices outside the cave. They seemed weak.

Darius' head spun quickly, and he dropped into a crouch, cautiously edging out.
