Electa just nodded. Of course...how could she ever believe that the trip would be guiltyless but no. Princess just had to come up. She started to count, wondering how long it would be before he mentioned Hannah.

Alister looked out the window of the car, enjoying the scenery as the drive continued on. He liked road trips, and even for the reasons they were in it he found pleasure in the drive. His eyes casted over to the sparkling water, they were driving out of the city now and he could see the ocean for a little while. He seemed calm, until one were to look in his eyes that seemed to radiate both sadness and anger.

Electa looked over at him and blew out a long breath. Of course he want over it. How could he be? Even the strongest people aren't immune to things like deaths of loved ones. What hit her the most, though, was how big of a hole Hannah had left down here. Alister seemed more affected by her giving up the ghost than he was when Princess had. Maybe the deaths were just too close together.

Finally, Alister spoke up. " When I was about 3, my mother and father took me to a beach here to teach me how to swim. I remember it very fondly as about a year later my mother died, and my father abandoned me. I wish that those memories were more abundant. " He said, still looking out his window with a calm, yet sad expression.

( I am extra evil today.. Someone in Electras family had been the one to kill Alisters mother. )

(How about her dad? I can't remember whether I said it was her dad or her mom that went mad before dying...gonna go with dad)

She assumed he meant the good memories. She muttered a "Sorry for your loss." She meant it, too. She knew what it was like to lose a parent, but she was just out of it today. After a while of silence she said, "I wish I had memories like that. All my parents did was teach me how to use a gun and how to kill angels. Even then, it was mostly older AKs who taught me that. Mom and dad were always away, either on business trips or out on hunts, tracking angels. But that was back in the good old days when a hunt would take up to a week, sometimes more. Before the CIA stuck their noses up our business." Now other AKs had no idea where each other were, and Electa was going off a hunch that Cully would be at the old camp. If he wasn't, well...they wouldn't make it far in this ancient vehicle.

" It's not your fault, Electra. " He said softly, before going quiet to listen to her speak. He nodded as she spoke, and when she had finished speaking he said, " Well, I am sorry to hear your life was like that, and sorry to hear your parents weren't around. Though for a moment, I don't think it's too bad. Sure, we hated each other and were incredibly intolerant of one another for awhile, and maybe some things I really cared for died or was destroyed.. but I am sort of glad I met you, who knows what would have happened had another more careless AK found me, maybe I'd be dead right now, being cut apart and studied. "

"I doubt it. I'm sure the other AKs would've kept you alive to kill the other angels. I mean, you don't have a halo, so I'm not entirely sure how you die which means the other AKs, if there are even any left, definitely don't know. And are you sure that's not the reason you're still alive? Because I don't know how to kill you? If I tried, you would know what I was trying to do. How do you know I never poisoned any of your food or drinks?" After a moment, she asked, "What was your mother's name?"

" I know you haven't tried because if you wanted me dead, you wouldn't of let me get so close to you. You'd of kept me at an arms length for all of this. " He said simply, before she asked her other question. He thought for a moment and said, " Her name was Meria, her name meant light and compassion. It was quiet fitting. "

She was silent for a moment as she processed this...She composed herself and said as nonchalantly as possible, "yeah so um I do believe that my dad may have killed your mother...And I don't blame you for hating me even more than you already do."

Alister tried to contain himself, trying not to boil with anger or be violent about that one, so he just replied. " Meria's a common name. "
