The trio of echidnas from eariler had'nt moved far from where Douglas had left them. The eldest was stooped down beside his injured brother, while the middle most kept watch. That echidna acknowledged Douglas with a shallow nod, giving him permission to go ahead.

Douglas speaks to the youngest in a kind, non-threatening voice, "My name is Douglas. I'm a surgeon. You have a few bad injuires will you please allow me to treat them?"

"...Yebo." The echidna replied, hesitantly.

Douglas quickly yet carefully treated the wounds, "You should be fine just make sure to change the bandages daily," Turning to the others he asks, "Are either of you two injured?"

"Not severely." One said.
"We've taken care of our minor injuries. There are others who need your care more urgently." The other responded.

"If you'd point me in the direction of the others I'd be grateful," Douglas polietly asks.

"Over that way. Deeper in the forest. I can garentee you'll find more there." The eldest spoke. "There was a lot of shouting."

"Thank you," Douglas goes toward the forest. Hoping to avoid traps he carefully picks his way toward the sound.

Kaladin kept walking, then paused, holding up a hand to signal the others to be quiet.
