Diana nodded and smiled,stroking her cheek gently. For someone who'd lived in harsh conditions with cruelty and hate,she was so soft. You'd think she would have gone hard,and yet she was sensitive and caring,kind and innocent.

D blushed deeply,having heard that word before and learned the meaning when one of the girls that had worked at the lab had held a rose and called it beautiful.

She almost said, "I'm gonna miss this," because she was so used to people leaving, whether they meant to or not. She didn't, but she didn't allow the little spark of hope to light. Yet.
