"Yeah, but maybe we could've still kept her in good health, I mean..." She was trembling. After a moment of silence, she slipped out of his arms and said in an emotionless tone, "We should probably get the car."

He just nodded, he knew he shouldn't pry or make her feel any worse so he just took her hand, and walked off to the mechanics.

By the time they got there, the mechanic was expecting them. Well, he was expecting Electa, anyway

Alister let Electra do the talking, and just leaned over on a wall, humming to himself peacefully.

And she did. The mechanic and Electa went to the back where the fixed car was. It wasn't the car the mechanic had promised, but it still worked decently.

Alister was looking around as Electra took care of what needed to be done, he was focused on this one little bakery. More so the donuts then anything else. He liked donuts, but not many other sweets. He was tempted to go get some.. so, while Electra's back was turned he went across the street, he only had a little money left on him but he figured donuts would be worth it.

Electa paid him a fair-ish price for the car and he got it out of the shop

Alister was crossing back over, a box of donuts in his hand. He had a large smile on his face and seemed quite happy.. but he would probably regret all the sugar later.

Electa shook her head and got into the driver's side of the car. Sugar highs didn't last forever.

He got into the passengers side and said, " Do you want one? " In a very happy, and excited tone.
