"Don't bend back too much, use it to spring against me."

Ray shakes their head and mutters to themself something along the lines of sword fighting being so hard.
Ryan used this information to the best of his abilities.

Jack only made it a bit difficult. "Easy, easy. There you go." He let the push move him back.

Ryan seemed rather proud of himself when he successfully did it. He grins and does his best to try and hit Jack.
Ray watched from a nearby tree, hanging upside down like a bat or something.
"Do you always do that?" Sam whispers to them. Ray simply nods in response, watching the fight intently.

Jack lets the blow hit him. "Make sure to practice using your apponents strength against them when you can't force past their defense. As I make it harder later on, you'll have to worry about the wacks hurting. But also, you must actually try to hurt me." He spoke, keeping his focus easily.

Ryan jumps a few steps back, having noticed that no one else was doing anything and he was wanting a break. " Hey, why doesn't Ray try! He's just hanging around in a branch doing nothing! "
"I'm hanging. Like you said. that is doing something, no?" Ray says, but they get down off the branch nonetheless. The pick up their sword, not quite sure they were ready but they couldn't be sure until they tried.

Jack stepped back with a nod. "Alright then."

Ray gives Ryan one of those looks that say I'm going to kill you later. They hold their weapon and are ready to take both offense and defense when needed.

jack raised his sword. He said no warning as he moved to take a gentle strike.

Ray remembers to relax as the spar practice continues. She stays aware of her surroundings through the whole thing, altering between offense and defense quick to react to the situation. A few times she stalls for a few moments, but regains focus and control soon enough.
