He gave a slight nod and turned his attention back to his own notes, resuming his studying.

Scias muttered some kind of profanity directed at Arco under his breath before shaking his head at the teacher.
"I'm not really that great with memorizing formulas..It's like.. y.. equals.. something.."

(sorry I'm dragging a ton of math explanation into this.)

(good thing i'm absolutely horrible at this level of math so makes for good realism. Like I remembered the formula and had flashbacks to struggling through pre-calc in high school lmao)

Scias reluctantly nodded. It was hard to tell if he was following along, but he seemed anxious at this point, pulling his textbook and homework away as he slunk back to his seat.
"I..I'll just figure it out myself. Thanks, Mr. Haaze."

"Not a problem," he said. He was going to have to go over parabolas anyway. He had a funny feeling that Arco and Scias know and hate each other, which is new to him.

(Well, I learned about parabola stuff in Algebra II pre-AP. We're currently on matrices. I had, to be honest, to double check my facts on the internet.)

(not looking forward to relearning them either.. But in time, lol.
I always found matrices to be way easier idk why)

Scias buried his face into his book as he feel Arco's voice entering his mind. He tried to block it out, to no avail.

'Best you not keep sticking your nose into things, Daarizi. I hear you keep asking around. Smarter lifeforms than yourself have died for less.
I do have to wonder how much your core would go for on market though? Maybe I'll get my answer some day.'

(Well, Mr. Haaze can't do anything right now. No evidence that Arco is messing with Scias.)

(Also, agreed. They're just tedious)

(Exactly my plan with him. He can get away mentally messing with people, especially people like Scias, because they can't prove it and Scias isn't going to out himself to get help either)

(And they can mentally torture poor Ms. Burner and she'd think she's going crazy. Excellent!)
