You decide to follow her.

Careful not to wake your Aerdini, you carry her in your arms as you race after your companion. You call out to her, but she doesn't slow her pace. She leads you to a space where four paths meet. She stops and turns to you, looking as if she wants you to make a decision.

The path that goes straight has the sound of footsteps, but they don't sound human.

The path to your left is covered in mist.

And the path to your right has light at the end.

What do you do?

You search every inch of the path for any sort of clue as to who the man was or where he went.

Finally, you find an ancient looking book in between the wall and a large bush. You retrieve it, and read the title. It reads A Sylestian Guide To Shadow Transporting

Go left... into the mist that seems slightly foreboding. Whispering softly under my breath "Please, don't let there be a monster in here. Please, don't let there be a monster in here".

(The light screams "Its a trap" and is possibly the exit (we are supposed to stay in the maze as long as possible). The footsteps are either another pet... or an enemy, I won't take the chance.)

You try to figure out what the leaf is telling you, but it is written in characters that you cannot understand. You then recall the characters being on the book.

(Are you psychic? I've been meaning to ask, I mean... honestly! Everyone here is psychic! Well.... partially.... hehe)

You choose to enter the mist, but soon find yourself lost and unable to see. You then realize you've been separated from your Zolnixi, and you think it was when you took that first turn left and entered the mist. You can't recall if she followed you or not.
