You suddenly realize there's a pokemon egg here. You aren't sure what type, but it's mother could be lurking near by, so taking it could be risky

Hermes grimaced. Should he take it...? He shook his head, only to clear his mind. He glanced around, and when it seemed that nobody was watching, snatched up the egg and fled the scene.

You ran for a little while before finally concluding no one was chasing you for the egg. Just as you thought you were save, however, there's a rumbling on the ground, and a cliff begins to crumble beneath you. You could either try to brace for the fall, or hope to escape, there's also a slightly chance of a rescue, but you don't see anyone in sight

Hermes swallowed. "Oh... Err..." He hugged the egg close to his chest. His mind started racing along with his pulse as Hermes' gaze swept around his feet. He didn't have enough time to escape, but he really didn't want the egg to break- crack, crack would be a better word.

Hermes attempted to escape the fall with a sharp inhale.

"Hey, you're a trainer right?" The woman said, seeing your cottonee. "Would you consider having a battle with my younger brother? He's been acting like a real jerk recently because he has a strong Pokemon" She huffed, looking at your hopefully.

You run to where you see the ground if safe, and jump as far as you can. With the egg in one hand, you use your free arm to grab onto the cliff right before you fall. Unfortunately, you're not strong enough to pull yourself up with one arm. You feel your options now are to drop the egg and save yourself, keep holding on to the egg and risk falling, or continue holding on for as long as you can

Ollie concealed the nervous butterflies he had in his gut. His first battle against another trainer. Dear Arceus. He thought. That woman was right, he does have a strong pokemon. "We can do this Cottonee," He said to the Cottonee with determination in his eyes.
