I step off Nightfang, who by now is unconscious, and grab the back of his neck in my jaws. I leap into the air and start to fly back to the castle with powerful wing strokes.

Then I take off right behind him with payback in mind for a certain prisoner who wounded my during his capture. I think of all the ways I can get him back during the arena battles as we fly back to the castle.

When were back at the castle I go back to my post behind Cyrus' throne and wait until I'm called upon to use my magic to help set up the arena. As I begin to drift into my dreams I think about how fun the wedding is going to be.

Thunder sulked behind Eskellia and Amber Storm discussing the seating. He was not mentioned, like most of the other guards. However, it sounded like everyone was invited, and maybe, just maybe... What am I thinking? I would never be assigned to sit by the princess. Except maybe... He went through what he would say to Cyrus in his head. If prisoners are going to be there, maybe there should be an individual guard for each member of the royal family, just in case they try to revolt or something. Then he would just need to pull a few strings to guarantee a spot near Amber Storm. He walked up to the throne and bowed. "Your majesty?"
Ivy started arranging the flowers. This was her favorite part of her job, the only part she really enjoyed. She would make everything just so - even the king would be impressed. Maybe. That was actually doubtful.
