Shadow ran as fast as he possibly could, and was up near the front. He looked back periodically and noticed Swordfern. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" "I WAS HUNTING AND HEARD SOMEBODY YELL STAMPEDE, SO I RAN AND FOUND YOU GUYS!"

Wepwawet looked up, if only for a second, and saw another wolf, much larger than him. She barked to him, and her words were choppy against the hoof beats, but he understood what she meant, and swallowed. He mustered up every last ounce of courage and jumped around the hooves, finally breaking out of the crowd and dashing away. Adrenaline carried him far away from the unfamiliar female as he raced through the snowy lands.

Althea yowled for the pack to run. She jumped to the side and ran. She had seen her, she had seen the pup with the adult wolf, and she couldn't stand to see her injured, she lept to their hiding place and stood over the pup as a couple of the caribous lept over them. She pinned her ears and barked to the adult wolf. "I will not her hurt her." Why had she gotten into this..

Desdemona flinched, feeling the weight of the older female on top of her and the stance she stood in. Her protectiveness was very apparent, but wasn't felt. Desdemona couldn't feel it while lost amongst her memories. Desdemona was reminded of all the times she'd been pinned down, screamed at, humiliated by her mother. She tried to calm herself down, but she couldn't stop her breathing from getting raggedy. Her panic was taking over her mind, strangling her.
Ignotia kept himself stoic in the face of the she-wolf, his already low voice dropping a couple octaves and gaining a cold edge to it that he attempted to reign in while his impressive height towered over her, "We appreciate your concern, but the help was unneeded. Now, I must ask you to step away from Desdemona, so she can breathe."
Truly, he was trying to contain himself and not offend the female wolf.
It wasn't her fault, she couldn't have possibly known of Desdemona's fear. Not unless she'd been in Desdemona's former pack, Duskfang. In which case, he might have to throttle her. Whoever hadn't physically hurt Desdemona had stood by and watched, and, in his eyes, that was worse. They could have helped her, but had chosen not to, to forsake her just as those that had beaten her had. He had no love for anyone that simply watched as others got hurt, there were plenty that hadn't helped him when he'd needed it after all.

Thunder? Was it a thunder snow? Thunder snows were the best! The pup hopped through the deep snow unaware of the stampede of oncoming Caribou as they raced towards him. Canis had again ventured from the den site this time right into the heart of danger. The thunder got louder. Strange thunder didn't do that, did it? He had heard that sound before, yet where? Think...think....that was it! It was when the prey had ran from them their first time practicing to hunt! Wait a minute...that ment the prey was coming towards him! Canis yelped when the first of the Carabou broke the top of the small slope next to him. What was he to do?! He closed his eyes waiting for a blow that never came. The Carabou made a path around him as a few stopped to look at him. Of course! His powers! He could calm beast, or more his presence made them feel calm. Maybe that was the only thing that saved him this time...

The stampede had passed when the male told her to step away. It was the second time she had tried to protect a stranger. She cursed herself and lept off, racing away into the cover of the trees. She let out a howl, letting her pack know she was safe and soon to come back.

Luanne saw the wolf, howling. She flicked her ear, and stared at the passing caribou. "Well well, isn't this a nice time to hunt?" She smiled, and spotting a small female caribou that had a limp, jumped from the snow dune and chased after it. Landing a blow on its leg, the female went sideways, almost hitting Luanne, and tripping over its own legs, it fell to the ground with a bellow. Few caribou noticed the missing female, and none dared venture out for it, scared of Luanne's bared fangs. Biting the neck, the female caribou fell limp, and Luanne started eating. She didn't care if the wolf saw her, she knew she could fight back even to an Alpha. For that's the perk of being a rogue loner.

Squirrel rolled over in the snow. Shaking it off and picking himself up, he trotted to the warriors' den.
