He rolls his eyes, winking at him before stopping the horses at the gate. He nods to the soldiers, speaking with them quietly. They bow, glaring at Nick as he passes but staying silent.

Nick tries to hide his face to no avail. He also tries to ignore the guards, but it was hard. Apparently the whole kingdom had heard

Suddenly a guard speaks up. "You won't see the light of another day when you go out to that town, boy. They all honor the king and you disrespected him and his family." The guard snaps. Caspian stops the horse, dismounting and walking right up to him. "That's why I'm bringing him with me." He snarls, "Escort yourself to the dungeons for your behavior." He snaps. The guard bows, walking away.

Nick swallowed hard, and when the guard was out of earshot he asked the prince, "Is it true?"
