Kurt didn't say anything for a bit thinking. "Katherine. Just stop." He said through his teeth a little harshly. Kurt glanced down at her his face blank excel his eyes, they were shining from some tears he was trying to put back. "I'm okay. You didn't hurt me. Now stop blaming yourself and saying you're awful because that is hurting me." He said quietly locking his jaw as he swallowed down some of the emotions he was trying not to feel.

Katherine stopped talking when he told her too. Shaking a bit afraid. She looked into his eyes, seeing the tears he was holding back. Her heart sunk at the thought of her making him cry. "I'm sorry.." she said quietly, nestling her face against his neck, her cheek resting on his. After a few moments she closed her eyes, gently kissing his cheek. "I'll do whatever you want..." she said softly. "Just p-please don't leave, I need y-you.." she pleaded quietly, her voice cracking.

Kurt rubbed her back gently. He sighed when she apologized again. "No. Never say that again. You just be you. I won't leave you. Not ever." He whispered quietly kissing the top of her head.

Katherine let out a sigh when he rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. Holding onto him tighter. "I-I love you..." she whispered against his chest. Tensing as she realized what she said, he wouldn't say it back she thought to herself. Closing her eyes, rubbing her face against his chest, wishing she hadn't said it.

Kurt swallowed tensing when she spoke. He didn't know what to say and was pretty sure if he didn't say anything again she'd take it the wrong way. He wasn't sure he was ready to love someone else again. It was hard, just the thought of letting go of Sarah, it hurt him.

Katherine let out a shaky breathe against his chest as he tensed. She knew she shouldn't have said it. Not moving as she held him a bit tighter against her. Letting go of him after a few seconds even though she didn't really want to. Turning to start making his sundae again. No emotion showing on her face.

Kurt swallowed watching her. He let out a slow audible breath. "Katherine. . . You remember what I said?" He started before clearing his throat. "I really am trying to move on. I just have to sort out a few more things. I can't say I love you right now, I think I might but I want to make sure I do." He explained some thinking that it was a fairly awful job of it. "All I know is I feel like I belong when I'm around you and I love it when you smile. Please just understand that." He said gently brushing her upper arm with his knuckles staying back from her.

Katherine took a deep breathe "I know, i shouldn't have said it anyway." she said quietly in a monotone voice. Not turning to look at him, showing no emotion as she started trying to open a container of toppings. Slightly shying away from his touch, she couldn't do this to herself anymore. Pretending that he would love her, only ending up to be the only one in this relationship to be feeling that type of love. She couldn't understand why he said they were dating if he didn't love her. She blinked away tears and pushed the thought away, not able to think about it anymore.

Kurt swallowed when she moved away from him. "No. You can say whatever you want. . . And feel how you feel." He said lightly turning her around trapping her against the counter looking into her eyes seriously as his hands rested on the counter to where she couldn't move away from him. "I'm still trying t get use to the idea that I'll never have Sarah again. . . I just need to except it and move on and. . . And. . ." He blurted out his voice a little strained from pain in his voice. "And I never want to hurt you because I'm too busy thinking about what I almost had to love you the right way." He said looking into her eyes his own pleading her to understand. "Please Katherine." He said pain in his voice as he started to shake. "D-don't make me loose you too." He said quietly his eyes closing as his forehead gently touched hers.

Katherine sighed trying to move away from him but couldn't as his hands went on both side of the counter around her. She looked into his eyes as he spoke, seeing him shake as he spoke. Tensing a bit as his forehead rested against hers. She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. One hand moved to rest on his cheek as the other half way on the side and back of his neck. She gently pulled him closer, blushing and tensing a little as her body was slightly squished between him and the counter. Not really caring she closed her eyes gently pressing her lips against his. She pulled away after a few seconds "I know, I'm sorry I don't mean to push you into that. Y-You need to go through it at your own pace..." she whispered, quietly against his lips before closing her eyes and pressing her lips gently against his again. Not wanting to forget anything about him. Just happy he was trying to love her, even if he couldn't say it yet.
