Kit looked at Dizzy and scratched under his chin, she looked at Knuckles, "Then what was it?"

"Super charged metal doppelgenger claws. Long stroy, don't wanna tell ya now. Severed an arterey and I didn't last two days." Knuckles replied like it was no big deal.

Kit sighed, "Sonic and you seem to be trouble magnets, or more of the island." she said with a chuckle, Val's hand went up to Dax's ears, she scratched behind his ears with a small smile.

(Won't be on long, will only be on for about a minute)

"I got lucky, becoming... this," Knuckles remarked, gesturing to himself with a wave of his arm. "Don't do what I did if you can help it."

Dax panted and nuzzled against her hand.

Val smiled and slightly leaned into the wolf, Kit raised an eyebrow, "The only reason I would do that would be if my daughter was in the line of fire." she said with a slight growl.

"Then you understand why I did what I did." Knuckles replied softly.

Kit gave a nod, Val stopped petting the wolf beside her, she took out a small bag of beef jerky.

"Hm." Knuckles grunted. Dax's ears flipped up, tail waving. The echidna laughed softly. "He's asking if he can have some."

Val smiled and gave Dax some jerky.

Dax gobbled it down happpliy, and let out a yip. "He says thank you." Knuckles translated.
