Vic had exited, not really wanting to be around for mushy stuff

He shook his head. "You don't understand. There haven't been any survivors."

"They're haven't been any horse surviviors either until today," Desta explains, "So I'll be the first human survivor."

"You didn't hear a word I just said, did you?" He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "How on earth am I supposed to protect you if you have no sense of self-preservation?"

"Go check on the horses," Desta replies, "I'll be just fine here."


Dreamer pokes her head into the cave.

"Only if you promise not to move an inch," he said firmly. She needed the rest, especially if she was going to survive.

Val does the same. What's going on?

Desta's sick I can smell it, Dreamer answers.


"Fine I won't move."

He still hesitated, not exactly sure how much he trusted her with that. However, he still stood and went to go check on the horses

Sick? How sick are we talking about here?

I think she was bitten by the demon horse, Dreamer explains, I watched it happen.

Desta stayed put for once knowing she couldn't move to far.

What?! Val asks, her eyes wide.

Maverick goes to Val and Dreamer, not seeing Loki anywhere

Concerned Dreamer puts her head against Maverick's shoulder, I though his hoof caught her not teeth.

Loki walks off going back in the direction of the berry bush.
