Sonic frowned. "I heard it too, but I dunno what it was..." He muttered, glancing around.

A brown form jumped in the water again.
Ajal heard what sounded like laughter, "I've never smelled that scent before."

Sonic was actually curious enough to go closer to the water, one ear tilted to the side.

"Hehe." Selkie popped out of the water the only difference was he was a good deal smaller then when he was mobian since he was in an non-mobian otter's body.
Ajal jumped back, "What is that?"
"I'm not a what I'm a who." Selkie corrected, "If you want to know my name you'll have to figure it out." Selkie dived back into the water.

"An otter that talks something other then squeak...." Sonic remarked unessecarily. He smirked and leaned over the edge of the bank, trying to see the bottom.

Kaladin inhaled and clasped his hands together, currently invisible to all but Selkie. Selkie, you can't just... He paused and sighed. ...Why do I even bother?

Lighten up Kaladin I'm trying to help them. Selkie smiled coming out of the otter and into his ghost form. The otter scammpered off.

"Maybe not an otter at all," Ajal suggested.

Kal came up beside him and sighed. Help them what?

Sonic shrugged. "Maybe..."

"Then who or what is it," Ajal asked.

Selkie grinned, I sense another Enchidna near.

Kaladin bolted in surprise, then frowned. But that's not possible... My species is as extinct as your's is, and most of the spirits are beyond redemption. After the whole Chaos inccident, most of them became too vengeful to deal with.

"'Who', Ajal. He said he's a 'who'." Sonic corrected. "And I have no idea."

Selke looked Kal in the eyes, Chaos strike me down if I'm lying, there is a living breathing Enchidna somewhere on this island.

"Why chose an otter," Ajal asked.
