(In the village)

Douglas walks over to Kaladin, "Are you okay?"
Kai lifts up her head and looks around.
Selkie more or less stumbles toward them, "Now I know how you felt when you were getting your landlegs. Are you both okay?"
(Okay thank you)

"We will be." Kaladin replied after a brief moment. "We were attacked. The same person who owned Kai before me amd sent the bulls after us..." He subcounciously rubbed the back of his head at the memory. "I'm... not really sure why he fled, though. Something hit him. I didn't get a very good look at it..."

Douglas frowns, "Would you be willing to show me where you were attacked so we could look for clues to why the smuggler fled?"
"I'll go with," Selkie offers.
"No you are staying here," Douglas protests.
"Why?"
"Because you are not up to full strength and you can't keep your balance," Douglas argues, "you may go see your crewmates though."
Selkie looks at Kaladin and winks, "Sure Douglas."
"And if you pull a Selkie I will make sure you can't sneak off again," Douglas warns.
Selkie sits down and starts petting Kai, "Glad to see you're awake."

Kaladin frowned faintly. He's going to pull a Selkie. He thought. He's going to pull a Selkie and there's nothing anybody can do about it.
He rose to his feet and shook his fur before looking over at Douglas.
"Right." He said with a nod, before turning his attention to Kai. "Will you be alright here?"

I'll be fine, Kai answers.
Douglas got up, "Whenever you're ready."

"I'm ready." Kaladin replied. "Selkie, Kai, you both take care."

''We will,'' Selkie has an agelic look on his face.
I'll make sure of it, Kai agrees.
Douglas glares at Selkie, "Make sure you stay here."

He's going to say yes, but I doubt he actually plans on doing anything of the sort... Kal guessed.

Kal certainly will know what I'm up to, Selkie though, but I have to be there to help if things go wrong.
I'll go with Selkie when he follows them, Kai thought.

Douglas sighs as he looks at the group, "Do you think Locke can keep them here?"
