You hear a crunch of leaves from the direction where that creature had gone.

You hear a whine. The crunching comes closer.

she focuses on the sound ready to let go at any moment.

The crunching is very close now. You can barely make out a pair of yellow eyes.

Underneath the crisp crackle of dry leaves, you hear buzzing.
