Kurt shook his head chuckling a little. "Okay. But don't try anything I don't give you. I'm sure it'd be loaded with alcohol." He said walking over next to her. "What can I do to help?" He asked watching her as she started unloading the groceries.

Katherine smiled "Okay..." she said quietly, excited about going to a party. She had never been to one. She smiled again as he asked what he could do. "hmm, if you want you could start cutting the cheese over there into slices" she said softly with a smile, motioning to the block of cheese beside her. She couldn't help but think of an old couple she saw in the apartment above her, happily making dinner together. The man had wrapped his arms around his wife from behind while she was mixing the food and kissed her on the cheek. She thought it was sweet. The old couple had always made her want that herself, that relationship was the best she had ever seen and she couldn't help but want that. She smiled as she thought about the couple, buttering the bread to put in the pan she had just gotten out.

Kurt chuckled a little moving over and getting a knife. He sliced a few pieces of cheese for Katherine glancing at her every now and then. "Grilled cheese hu?" HE said figuring out what they were making. He wondered what she was thinking about as he continued slicing the block of cheese.

Katherine kept smiling before snapping back to reality. "huh? Oh umm...yeah.." she said quietly, her cheeks turning a deep red. She glanced at Kurt with a smile before looking back at the bread. She couldn't help but keep glancing at him, smiling as she did. "They're a special grilled cheese, i bet you have never had one like this before she said a bit embarrassed as she spoke.

Kurt smiled his lopsided smile before looking over at her. "I bet I haven't." HE said jokingly as he stepped back from the cutting board. "You sure you want to go to the party?" He asked her not really wanting her to go to it.

Katherine smiled as she got out a spatula getting ready to put the bread in. Turning on the stove as she spoke. "Of course I do, it would be fun." she said softly with a smile, not looking at him. Getting out a couple plates as the stove heated up the pan. She couldn't help but smile again as she thought about the old couple again, getting lost in thought. Maybe It would happen to her, she thought to herself, smiling as she thought about it being Kurt maybe. Lost in her own thoughts.

Kurt shook his head chuckling again. "Well, it will be interesting I can tell you that. Other then that it won't be that fun." He said walking behind her watching her cook. He blushed a little lifting his hands to rub her shoulders. "How are you liking your new job?" He asked her standing about arms length away form her.

Katherine snapped out of her thoughts, listening to what he said. Laughing a little as she did things. Tensing a bit as he rubbed her shoulders. Relaxing before hearing his question. Tensing again as she thought about work. "It's great, the boss is nice and I already made a few friends.." she said with a fake smile. It was a lie, more like her boss was a pervert and she didn't make any friends only a few nasty mean girls. She distracted herself by making the cheesy sauce that she put on the grilled cheese along with the regular cheese. It made it taste better and it was definitely a fancy grilled cheese.

Kurt's smile disappeared a little as he gently squeezed her shoulders. "You know if there's anything wrong with it you could talk to me about it." He said thinking something might be wrong with her job. He couldn't tell if her smile was fake or not.

Katherine fake smiled again, before actually smiling as he gently squeezed her shoulders. She put her hand on the opposite shoulder, resting her hand on his gently. "I-I know" she said nervously, wanting a hug at the moment. Taking a deep breathe to stop thinking about work, she didn't want to.
